Senior Full-Stack Engineer
About this role
Lead the development of our core deal pipeline, escrow integration layer, and KYC verification systems. You'll work across our Next.js frontend and Node.js backend, shipping features used by 2,000+ buyers and sellers weekly.
What you'll build
A real-time deal pipeline dashboard used by 2,000+ active buyers and sellers
NDA-protected data room access controls with audit logging
Multi-currency escrow funding and automated release workflows
AI-assisted due diligence question generation and red-flag detection
What you'll do
Architect and build new features across our Next.js frontend and Node.js backend — from buyer-facing listing pages to seller dashboard workflows
Own the technical design and implementation of our deal pipeline, including NDA workflows, data room access controls, and notification systems
Collaborate with our Product Designer on interaction patterns and ensure pixel-perfect implementation at all breakpoints
Write comprehensive tests (unit, integration, E2E) and participate in code review across the engineering team
Maintain and improve our escrow integration with Paystack and Stripe Connect, including multi-currency handling
Contribute to our technical roadmap and advocate for engineering excellence in sprint planning
What we need
You should have most (not all) of these. If you're 70% there and hungry to close the gap, apply anyway.
5+ years of professional full-stack development experience
Expert-level knowledge of TypeScript and React / Next.js
Solid backend experience with Node.js and PostgreSQL (or equivalent)
Experience building and maintaining production APIs used by hundreds of concurrent users
Familiarity with payment API integrations (Stripe, Paystack, or similar)
Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and data security best practices
Excellent written communication — you write code and PRs that non-authors can understand
Nice to have
Bonus points, not blockers.
Experience with Prisma ORM or similar query builders
Knowledge of African payment infrastructure (Paystack, Flutterwave, M-Pesa)
Experience at a marketplace or two-sided platform
Background in fintech or financial services
